New course: NURSING

Nursing is a new bachelor’s degree course of the Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, interely provided in english, for the training of qualified health workers, according to the ESG 2015 (Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area). Since the almost complete use of the English language, the course is acknowledged by NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), equivalent to passing the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) test, and recognized in the entire European Country.

The course is structured in 3 years, passing an entry test, and the fundamental requirement is the high school diploma and a B1 minimum level of proficiency in English. Professional skills are achieved through theoretical training based on lessons, seminars and in-hospital practice; the student is gradually

enriched with knowledge in increasingly complex disciplines for a complete approach to the patient.

Flexible learning paths are available in encouraging students to take an active role in healing the learning process. A lot of international agreements with the main European university institutions allow the student to enter the Erasmus Program in order to further encourage a multicultural training and an exciting lifetime

experience.

Both high cultural profile teachers and an effective administration support are available for the students in any moment to facilitate their university experience

The annual cost of Nursing varies from € 16,00/year to € 2.710,00/year, accordingly to the personal income. An International Relations Office is set up in Vanvitelli University for reception services for foreign students, in order to introduce them in the Italian university system and to help them in finding a temporary appropriate accommodation.

Special services are provided for disabled persons, both in didactic and clinical structures, and a personal tutorial trainer is available in limited conditions.

A teaching of Italian language is part of the study plane, in order to offer an integration tool during the internship and the lifetime in Italy.

A strong employment demand of nurses is present in Europe and United Kingdom today, and many job offers guarantee a quickly employment a few months after graduation. Moreover, the Job Placement Section of the Vanvitelli University, twice a year, organizes meetings between students and exponents of the working world to promote employment opportunities.

In conclusion, the reasons for choosing Nursing are:

  • Bachelor’s degree course adequately structured to form nurses able to face any healthy problem;
  • Low costs, according to own income, anyhow;
  • Strong employment demand, both in Europe and in other Countries;
  • Complete service organization to ease student engagement.

Italy is a culturally prestigious and trendy country, welcoming, fun, scenic and exciting; the Italian language is the fourth most studied in the world and Nursing aims to intercept a study application by young people who aspire to a spendable title and who want to make a life experience in one of the most beautiful countries in the world.
